#34. Saja je Rafthah, apparently "-u" in Jawa is spelled "-oe" (old spelling or something like that. Just for fun je tu panggil Pandu-Pandoe. It's still pronounced the same.

#21. Fan of base jam? Kenapa tidak? One of Base Jam's vocalist (ada dua), Sigit, kinda comel hehe (ada his picture in my MTV photo album masa Evita interview Base Jam, tapi tak nampak sangat muka dia). But the guy with the higher-pitch vocals for Base Jam makes me feel irritated, tinggi sangat suara dia! Macam boleh pecah je tingkap. Sigit tu macho sikit.

Yeah Rafthah, macam mana lah you tanya I soalan whether I ada latest Dewa and SO7. That's like asking kalau air laut tu masin ke tak haha. Fairy always tries to have the latest from Indo, girl!

#20. not a fan of basejam, just wondering what happen to them, i just like one of their vc of an ol song of theirs, somewhere dekat cemetery, cant even remember the title *haha*

ive got a basejam cd then (its like 5 yrs back i think) and one compilation cd which i lost it in perth. since then ive been dloading. oh yes, mums got for me sheila on 7 n dewa's latest, which i believe u should have it *heh*

Oh you're a Base Jam fan? Evita attended and wrote about their birthday bash about 2 weeks ago which you can read about here: Base Jam Ulang Tahun. However everytime I attempt to get a copy of Base Jam's albums, Evita stops me; thinks they're not much as musicians and nothing too special about them. Biasa-biasa aja, basi..., kata dia. But some people suka their songs. I think they're alright.

#18. hey thats a good idea fai, i have to depend on mtv ampuh etc (mampus kene bangun 4 pagi to watch all that, but by the time kuliah subuh im dead asleep ahahahaha) to know whether is there any good bands out there

u should give a review on what u have, the last time i was in tg pinang (which is just like 1 hr away from sg by ferry) i just grab 2 indon cds and thats how it leads me to this indo music interest.

i think the underdogs would be just as great as the big names these days, just not glamourous enuff yet . and what happen to basejam huh? bubar teruskah? didnt hear anything bout 'em for so long.

#17. Tanjung Pinang ni kat mana? Wha..?? RM50 for So7 cds?? That's a rip off! They don't cost more than RM35 lah, in fact I got mine when So7 had their concert in KL in July last year, and itu pun I beli for RM28 (diskaun lagi you). Kalau beli kat Indon, lagi murah sial, tak sampai RM20 equivalent.

Cekik darah, dasar import.

The Indo music info on my website pun kira mainstream lah jugak (Dewa, So7, Padi, Melly, etc) since we like those bands and that's what's popular at the mo', but I would like to talk about the underdogs jugak. I wonder if I should put up like music reviews of my Indonesian music collection, you know talk about each album that I own and why you should listen to it. What say you?

#16. id rather go to tanjung pinang or something and get the cds when u convert the money its practically way cheaper. and msia sells indon cds at 40 bucks? i saw one s07 cd at 50 bucks! i was like 50!!!! giler!

btw, if Ako mUstapha could find time to search the net for infos about HIS NAME *sarcastic laughs* surely evita could ask PADI members to start surfing around and check out THEIR BAND NAME as well right?

#15. Amboi, melampau lah kalau nak kata website ni mcm webMag betul, update pun bukannya everyday cik kak. Haha. And no lah dun think Padi sudi ada masa sign my GB. But then again Evita has a way with the boys in bands kat sana, so if she dragged them here perhaps they'll spare me a digital signature.

Susah ye nak dapat Indonesian CDs kat Spore, go figures lah, sure they just sell Chinese and English albums berlambak2, sah2 target market diorang kat sana macam tuh. Should come over to Malaysia, we got lah some decent collection BUT very pathetic juga. But I did find Project Pop the other day kat MidValley Mall's Jaya Jusco which was a surprise (but I already have the CD, Fibi hantar), also found Ari Lasso's solo album, Ruth Sahanaya, and some others lah. Tak tau lah kat Pertama Complex in KL perhaps ada more choice since area tu kira Melayu habis juga lah. But nothing beats Indonesian music shops lah, giler sih. Now there's always a reason for me to go back to Indo.

#13. Rafthah, haha, aku ingat kau betul2 related to Padi! So far aku dah terjumpa orang yang related to Adam from Sheila on 7, mana lah tau Padi ni pulak ada kazen sesat kat Spore hehe.

BTW about Padi members' punya religion, yang I tau Fadli is Muslim tapi Piyu is Christian. Yang members lain kurang femes, jadi aku kurang tau.

evita, memang bayar polis di sana mahal kan? gak jugak sih, kalau you tinggal 1000 rupiah dalam dompet aja diambil juga kok!

#8. evita, I think Rafthah means dia mau cari orang tu di sana, tapi how ya, gila bo, Indonesia penduduknya 220 juta bo! Good luck lah trying to find anyone there specifically, it's like digging through several haystacks looking for a mere needle.

Since this article is about Padi, I remember evita telling me that she did so many articles for Padi when she was working for this music magazine that dia dah muak dengar asyik dengar lagu diorang (tapi tak sempat hafal judul lagu tuh, hebat). Tapi Padi tetap fenomena yang I kurang faham tu, I lebih paham kenapa orang suka lagu2 Sheila on 7. Tapi kenapa Padi yaa....

#1. Man those label companies yang reject PADI initially must be shooting themselves in the foot right now, or perhaps even pointing the trigger of guilt right into their mouths! PADI is just so phenomenal right now, it's unbelievable, heck they beat Dewa in winning the MTV Asia Awards for Indonesia category, now you must be one heck of a band to be able to beat Dewa in winning ANYTHING.

I still don't quite get their songs though. Quite slow for my taste but bearable lah. Apparently they are famous for having really beautiful lyrics. Wonder what PADI fans think...
